Work and well-being, Dr Bridget Juniper

Bridget and I have known each other for over twenty years and we met when she was doing PR for the company I was working for. Bridget is now Dr Bridget as she has recently completed her thesis at Cranfield on well-being in the workplace. This is based on her very practical well-being index that she is using with UK organisations to find out at a detailed level what matters to employees and how organisations can increase employee effectiveness through addressing issues that matter to staff. I believe that well-being will become a key differentiator in becoming a high performing organisation and understanding what matters and what to do as a result is critically important. The assessments provide really useful information that can be mapped to measures such as absence, turnover, sickness in order to understand what is at the heart of staff issues.
