Ahmed Al Akber

Last year, two friends approached Ahmed and asked if he wanted to help them pitch for a two year consultancy project with a well know Government entity. Pitching against major international consulting firms and with no commercial registration to work under, they spent nearly 6 weeks forming a consulting company and working on a proposal they knew was innovative, fresh and fully addressed the needs of the prospective client. Six months after forming the company, they were awarded the project and began working – and more work is in the pipeline from a range of other clients. Ahmed is now a Partner at his Bahrain-based firm, ACK Solutions, and is busy building a name for the business using the skills he learned at companies like Philip Morris International, Dell, and The Coca-Cola Company, where he had previously worked for nearly 10 years in countries like Saudi Arabia, The UAE, The Netherlands, and Bahrain.

Besides having a good instinct for marketing and business development opportunities, Ahmed has a BSc in Management and Business Computing from Staffordshire University and an MBA from Lancaster University Management School.
