Ros Camsey

Ros Camsey is an independent consultant, engaged primarily in the banking and financial services sector, and working in Europe, Middle East, Asia and the United States.

Her major areas of programme development are leadership, management skills and organisational behaviour. Her emphasis is on programmes designed around particular client needs rather than an off-the-shelf approach, enabling her to tackle specific issues with participants in a true, work-related context.

The philosophy behind her work is that training must add value to the role that participants are expected to fill, both now and in the future, for their own and their organisation's growth. As such, she draws upon her own working experience as a line manager with J. Sainsbury, a Training Specialist with the John Lewis Partnership and a Management Development Director with Citi in the UK before establishing her own consultancy firm with clients around the globe. This philosophy is tied to a keen academic interest in leadership and management so that she provides to participants a synthesis of current ideas and applications.

As an independent consultant, Ros has worked extensively with Citi in the design and development of the organisation's Leadership Curriculum. She was the major design partner in the delivery of a progressive leadership intervention strategy designed to meet key leadership needs as managers progress through the pipeline to more senior levels, and she also designed and ran Train-the-Trainer programmes for Citi's in-house trainers and external consultants.

In addition to other clients in the banking and financial services sector, Ros also works with one of the world's leading currency manufacturers in implementing team-working, change management and employee relations initiatives, including the design and delivery of joint Trades Union and Management harmonisation programmes.

Most recently she has worked extensively in the Middle East on a project to design and deliver leadership development and coaching initiatives to the senior leaders working within a Sovereign Wealth Fund. This required a deep understanding of both the organisational and cultural challenges inherent in effective leadership in the region.

Ros is a graduate of London University (Social Science and Business Administration) and is qualified in a variety of 360° feedback instruments (e.g. Profilor, Citigroup Manager Inventory, etc.) and other tools such as MBTI, LifeStyles, LifeStyles Conflict inventory, Stress Assessment Inventory and FIRO B.

She lives with her husband and their pet Labrador in the Yorkshire Dales and is a keen marathon runner. Her hobbies include travel, reading and the theatre.
