PricewaterhouseCoopers – interim role as Head of Media relations

After the merger of these large firms there was a need to align and integrate the firms' two media relations team as well as working to combine their working practices. I had to create a new structure and help with the recruitment of a permanent person for the post. The assignment lasted for a year and in that time we were able to appoint a great candidate from within the team.

As well as managing this internal process we also needed to implement the merged business lines’ media plans and communications needs. The two firms had very different styles and creating consistency without damaging the commercial needs of the business people was a challenge that required a process of persuasion, clear and helpful processes and good results on a daily business in the press.
