Are you ready? – Crown Prince’s International Scholarship candidate leadership programme – Bahrain

I worked as part of a consortium to deliver this programme for 60 candidates for this prestigious scholarship. The three week programme was designed in three parts; week 1 focused on leadership skills such as communication, project management and team work; week 2 involved a branded programme called "Going West" which equips young people to face the issues involved with travelling and studying abroad; Week 3 was focused on bringing the elements together and working on projects in teams. The projects were focused around solving educational/employment issues. We also included a series called "Perspectives" where business people from a range of sectors came to share their experience and give the young people a sense of what would be involved in a career. The students had the benefit of a psychometric assessment at the start, with a one-to-one conversation about further education ideas and team roles assessment to help them to understand their own styles more fully.

The feedback from the participants was very positive and the clients outcomes were achieved in terms of providing a broader perspective on leadership ideas and personal awareness.
